Selecting the Right Pump
Selecting the right pump for a specific purpose is a complex task, and Grundfos recognized the need for a tool to assist in the sales process. For this purpose Grundfos chose the Array Technology as their configurator engine.

The relevant parameters for the Pumped Liquid Guide (PLG) are e.g. the liquid to be pumped, the temperature, pH value and concen¬tration of the liquid. Based on these parameters the PLG is able to guide and assist the salesmen to select the right pump for the purpose.

Handling the Combinations
A large number of rules apply to the valid combinations of liquid characteristics, seals, and materials of shafts. Other rules defines what material each pump the materials consists of. From these rules the Array Configurator is able to handle all combinations of liquids, materials, and pumps.

The PLG is a program developed and maintained by Grundfos. It is based on the Array Configurator DLL runtime library. It is a highly interactive program, which guides the user through a series of choices leading to the final selection of the pump.
