The Laboratory of Neuropsychiatry, Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the University of Copenhagen has worked with Array Technology in order to identify genes that may contribute to the susceptibility of bipolar disorder.

They used DNA Miner 3 beta 2. DNA Miner is a tool designed to calculate combinations of SNP genotypes in association studies where large numbers of SNPs have been analysed. DNA Miner allows identification of combinations of SNP genotypes which are specific for groups of e.g., control subjects or patients, or combinations which are significantly over-represented in such groups. DNA Miner can be used to test the statistical significance of results by random permutation of combinations of SNP genotypes.
