Array Technology releases new web-based configurator application.

The Array Web Configurator is targeted at backend and salesforce use with its strict down-to-business UI, and has already proven itself as the internal development platform for a number of large scale customer projects.

With its out-of-the-box support for management of users, customers, products, orders and configurations, and its backend integration to Array Studio and 3rd party data storage, the Array Web Configurator completes the picture and allow customers to be up and running in hours rather than months or years.

Product models are developed and maintained in Array Studio, from where they are easily deployed to the Web Configurator. Users, Customers and additional data such as e.g. price tables are managed, or im-/ex-ported, from within the web-based admininstration tool of the configurator. Orders and Configurations are created and linked to customers as users login and build new configurations.

A plug-in interface allow custom functionality to be easily implemented and appended to the application. Plug-ins are commonly used to connect to legacy data storage for exchange of data ranging from orders and prices to customer information.

The Array Web Configurator is build on open standards. It can be installed on any Java application server, and will connect to most common SQL databases. We recommend the free Open Source products TomCat and mySQL for Java application server and DBMS, respectively.
