With the release of Array Studio - Document Edition (DE), Array Technology sets the pace for entry level Configurator software.

Array Studio DE has the full modeling capabilities of Array Studio, and offers a unique option of generating human-readable documentation from the structured Array Model.

Array Studio DE targets a need to document complex products in a way less error prone than a wordprocessor or a spreadsheet. We have experienced the need for such software with a large group of customers, ranging from independent consultants in product management, to production- and even service-companies, small and large alike.

Array Studio DE enables e.g. product managers to create and maintain product information in a consistent and structured way, using all the advanced features of Array Studio such as refactoring, consistency checks, reference search and team support. 

The new document generation feature allow product documentation to be made available to the rest of the organization at the click of a button.

Within Studio DE, the generated document is visualized as HTML using a standard template, but this is easily configurable by virtue of industry standard style sheets (XSL). In technical terms, the document is generated in the form of one or more XML files, which are then transformed to e.g. HTML using XSL stylesheets.

Array Studio DE comes without an actual configurator which allow an unprecedented low price point, yet offers the full expandability of Array Studio. The configurator itself is available as an upgrade that can be added when or if the need arises.
